Industrial Involvement
Disputes and Arbitration
Nuclear Power Projects are complex with many commercial, administrative, regulatory and other stakeholders.
Delays, mishaps, quality issues and political and social influence on plans are likely. However, all deviations from plan are costly and even the best contracts cannot cover all cases. Therefore, disputes around large industrial projects in general, and nuclear projects in particular, are often subject to disputes. Whether submitted to courts or to arbitrators, lawyers, economists or other stakeholders will have needs for nuclear expertise to guide them through the complexity of nuclear requirements and standards.
Se-grauf has provided expert reports, and/or recommendations in various cases of disputes and arbitrations to lawyers and economists and was one of the witnesses in an ICSID (International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes) case with a focus on operational and backfitting needs and costs.
